Classification Committee to facelift the film industry – Socrate Sarfo

Ghanaian filmmaker, Socrate Sarfo has revealed in a recent interview that the Classification Committee will soon shape the film industry.

The Classification Committee is a sub-unit under the watch of the Ghana Film Authority to regulate the industry.

Mr. Sarfo who doubles as the Chairman of the Classification Committee is hopeful that of reviving the film industry.

In an interview with Kojo Preko Dankwa on an Accra-based CTV, monitored by Fnn24.com, confidently said the film industry will get a new facelift and direction to the benefit of all stakeholders and the general public.

“… the Classification Committee is working very hard to put things in order as soon as possible. We’ll shape the film industry and make it very lucrative for everyone,” he boldly said.

Part of the Classification Committee’s job according to Fnn24.com knowledge is to scrutinize all movies before they get aired on TV.

They will be in charge of issuing permits to movie directors and producers before they can shoot a movie in the country.
