Wesley Girls adhere to no fasting policy even during Ramadan

One of the most prestigious single sex senior high schools, Wesley Girls have strictly adhered to the no fasting policy even during the month of Ramadan.

This of course did not sit well with the Ghana Education Service(GES) as it shows inequality in regards to the religion of students.

The Methodist Church of Ghana has however disregarded the statement of the GES to allow muslim students fast with the support of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA).

According to Wesley Girls administrative board, the no fasting policy is in regard to the health of the student and must be adhered to no matter circumstance to avoid any health hazard that might occur later.
