Though the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) seems to be on hold following the outbreak of the coronavirus which has forced President Akufo-Addo to suspend all public gatherings including political rallies, it appears some aspirants cannot escape their pasts even before the race starts.

In the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency parliamentary primaries race, it appears some delegates are up and arms against the candidate of Mr. Daniel Agyare.

Some of the delegates who spoke to fnn24.com are accusing Mr. Agyare who is the former Constituency Chairman of destroying the home of his friend who is also a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party and currently a member of the President Akufo-Addo’s board appointees.

How Mr. Agyare broke the marital home of his friend

According to the sources, Mr. Daniel Agyare was dating a Kumasi-based businesswoman [Sharon] and got introduced to Ama currently a member of parliament from the Ashanti region and a close friend of Sharon.

Mr. Daniel Agyare then became a very close family friend to the MP, Ama and her husband to the extent that Mr. Agyare goes to the house of the MP for discussions even in the absence of the Ama’s husband.

Ama’s husband who is currently a board member of one of the state enterprises became the bankroller of Mr. Daniel Agyare Constituency Chairmanship campaign.

After winning the constituency chairmanship, Mr. Daniel Agyare jilted Sharon and impregnated her friend, Ama who currently has a child for him.

This issue brought a serious misunderstanding between Ama and the husband leading to Ama having to file a divorce through a law firm Mr. Agyare was working.

According to our source, Mr. Agyare’s legally married wife in the USA who heard about the alleged infidelity of the husband came to Ghana and stormed the parliament of Ghana in bid to disgrace the MP but could not succeed as the MP’s was hinted hence absenting herself from the house.

Blackmail and Moral issues

Members of the constituency have said it will be morally wrong to allow Mr. Agyare who has blackmailed and stubbed his close friend and financial at the back to become their Parliamentary Candidate.
They have therefore vowed to “campaign against him to ensure that he does not even get a single vote.”
