The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex(LGBTQI) community in Ghana have lamented to president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo how they feel oppressed in the country.
The community wrote a letter to the president of Ghana on how their freedom is being taken away from them though they live in a country with the motto “Freedom and Justice”.
The small group urges the president to retract his statement that their act would not be practiced in the country since the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice(CHRAJ) has pointed out all the grounds for which the community is allowed by law in Ghana.
LGBTQI has however addressed a letter to the president to give them to right to do what they feel suites them and have also urged Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to decline any bill by MPs like Honorable Sam Nartey George, Honorable Kweku Asante Boateng and others who have vowed to oppress them even more.
