The Lockdown Didn’t Favour Me But At Least I Wrote Hit Songs – Akwaboah

Highlife musician and keyboardist, Akwaboah has disclosed in a recent interview how the COVID-19 lockdown affected him financially and musically.

Speaking to Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central, the ‘Gangster Love’ hitmaker noted that the lockdown didn’t favor him and colleague musicians as well.

Nevertheless, Akwaboah revealed that he made good use of the lockdown since he saw it an opportunity to compose songs.

“Since the president banned public gathering, it affected us because we all make money from shows but I am an indoor person and so I used the opportunity to write a lot of songs,” he disclosed.

Akwaboah who is currently promoting the latest single “Posti Me” has in the past few days incurred the wrath of Ghanaians particularly those on social media over a controversial post.

In that social media, he suggested that people who do not celebrate their partners through social media are cheats hence their inability to do so.
