I’m Going Forward And Will Not Return To Sarkodie’s Label – Akwaboah Vows

Prolific Highlife artiste and composer, Akwaboah has vehemently objected to any possibility of a return to his previous record label, Sarckess Music.

In an interview closely monitored by Ghface.com with Amansan Krakye on Central Dryve on GBC Radio Central, Akwaboah indicated he won’t go back to Sarkcess music even if another opportunity presents itself.

“… I would like to do so many things on my own rather than going back to be under the Sarkcess Music record label….So it’s forward ever”.

When asked if he is being underrated and less appreciated, Akwaboah, born Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr answered saying;

“People follow trends, they like danceable tunes. I have my style and people won’t pay won’t any amount to see me and I’m okay with that. I’m not for everybody but for particular people”.

Akwaboah joined Sarkcess Music in 2016 as a signee, a record label owned by BET Award winner Sarkodie but sadly left in 2019 to start his own label, Akwaboah Music.
