Rawlings and Mahama blessed National Cathedral Project – Archbishop Duncan Williams

The Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International ministry, Nicholas Duncan Williams has revealed in a recent interview that two former presidents; John Dramani Mahama and Jerry John Rawlings have given their blessing concerning the National Cathedral project.

According to Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams who is the Chairman of the fundraising committee, he took his campaign to former presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Mahama and that was when the two gave their blessings.

He said;

“They’ve all given us their blessings and they’ve brought up their concerns and issues they think we should address and look at.”

The Founder of Dominion University has also disclosed in the same interview on an Accra-based Joy FM as monitored by www.Ghface.com that both Rawlings and Mahama have raised concerns about the National Cathedral project.

He said again;

“Whatever concerns they and the public have has come to our attention and we are addressing them and very soon our secretariat will address all these issues,” he told the radio station.

He added that the Secretariat will bring clarity to all the concerns that have been raised by the public, adding that the Cathedral should unite the country rather than divide it.

Informational sighted by Ghface.com revealed that a fundraising programme for the construction of the cathedral will cost participants a minimum of $1,000.

The Cathedral will sit around a 14-acre garden and will have chapels, a baptistery, a music school, an art gallery, a Bible Museum, and Documentation Centre.

It is expected to seat 5,000 people in its main auditorium and will be constructed by renowned British-Ghanaian architect Sir David Adjaye.
