Police Advised To Avoid “Loose Talk” Before, During, And After 2020 Election

DCOP Afful Boakye Yiadom, the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander has advised police personnel to avoid “loose talk” before, during, and after the 2020 general elections.

Speaking to the officers at the Police headquarters, the Police Commander cautioned them to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

DCOP Yiadom has tasked the personnel to be guided the tenets of the regulations and not involve themselves in political controversies to affect the image of the service.

The high ranking commander made his officers aware that their public servants but not politicians and they must be guided as such.

He, however, warned that any officer caught involving in political activities or any form of ‘loose talk’ would be dealt with according to its laws to serve as a deterrent to others.

The police force on Monday, September 21, 2020, had a route exercise march in some principal streets of Accra as part of preparation towards the upcoming December elections.
