Nike sues the shoe company of Lil Nas X ‘Satan shoes’ for trademark infringement

American based billion dollar shoe brand, Nike , is reportedly filing a law suit against the company responsible for American musician, Lil Nas X ‘Satan’ shoes.

According to a report by US based TMS, Nike claims they did not authorize the Satan sneakers that was customized by MSCHF and has therefore filed a case against them

Luckily for Lil Nas X, he is not a named defendant in the law suit but since he approved and endorsed the company, even using it in his new song ‘ Call me by your name’, is pretty much involved in the case.

A rep from the billion dollar shoe brand has officially confirmed the suit against MSCHF and it reads “Nike filed a trademark infringement and dilution complaint against MSCHF today related to the Satan Shoes,” the statement reads.

“We don’t have any further details to share on pending legal matters. However, we can tell you we do not have a relationship with Lil Nas X or MSCHF. The Satan Shoes were produced without Nike’s approval or authorization, and Nike is in no way connected with this project.”
