Ghanaian businessman and actor, John Dumelo has noted that many Ghanaians would die should they wake up oneday to the shutting down of social media.
Explaining his reason, the ‘About to Wed’ series cast said, social media has created intense addiction where people live all their lives to gain likes and followers to feel part of the world.
John who sees the hunt for followers as a problem isn’t the only one advocating a call to address it as an American rapper, Kanye West also called on the CEO of Twitter to disable “followers” from various handles.
John in his tweet said: “We will all wake up one day and realize we have been logged out of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and what’s app. That day, a lot of lives will be “lost”…”
