Renowned spiritual visionary and cultural advocate, Maame Grace, has officially declared March 14, 2025, as World Oshun Day, marking a historic celestial and spiritual discovery. She has petitioned the Ghanaian government to recognize this date as the first-ever World Copper Moon Festival, integrating it into the country’s tourism and cultural calendar.
In a recent address, Maame Grace explained the spiritual and cosmic significance of the copper moon, a celestial event commonly referred to as the blood moon eclipse. According to her, this phenomenon, when the moon takes on a reddish-copper hue, symbolizes the presence of Oshun, the river goddess of the Orisha pantheon, appearing in the sky. She emphasized that this event serves as a powerful alignment between human consciousness and the solar system, enhancing spiritual awakening and heightened intuition.
“Oshun is not just a river deity; she is the goddess of copper, and she manifests in the sky during the copper moon. This is not a day for worship but a day of natural spiritual alignment,” Maame Grace stated.
She further explained that Oshun governs the fourth chakra, which is associated with emotions, intuition, and personal energy flow. On March 14, 2025, she encourages people to engage in practices that amplify their psychic abilities, including drinking from copper cups and wearing copper-based accessories such as chains, bangles, rings, and anklets.
Maame Grace urged the Ghanaian government to officially recognize World Oshun Day as a national and global event, positioning it as a spiritual wellness and cultural tourism festival. She believes this could attract global spiritual travelers, researchers, and cultural enthusiasts to Ghana, boosting tourism and promoting African spirituality on the world stage.
She also cautioned against commercial exploitation of the event by self-styled spiritualists who might attempt to capitalize on the movement by charging fees or misleading the public with unverified practices.
“This is not a religious event, nor a call to servitude. It is a day for self-connection and enlightenment. It is for you, for your body, and for your mind,” she asserted.
With the next copper moon set to appear on March 14, 2025, Maame Grace is leading efforts to ensure that Ghana becomes the central hub for this celestial and spiritual festival, drawing global attention to the intersection of African spirituality, cosmology, and human energy alignment.
Her petition to the Ghanaian government, if approved, could mark the beginning of a new cultural and spiritual movement, placing Ghana at the forefront of a global conversation on indigenous knowledge, celestial phenomena, and spiritual wellness.
