Former Black Stars striker, Nii Odartey Lamptey has revealed how he tricked children with his estranged wife, Gloria Appiah into secretly conducting a DNA to ascertain their true paternity.
Speaking in an interview on TV3, Nii Odartey Lamptey said he decided to conduct a DNA test to know the paternity of ‘supposedly’ children with news saying they are not his.
According to him, he sought the services of his lawyer who showed him where it could be done and he came up with a throat infection just to trick the children to conduct the test.
“I know, It was a difficult situation, I was very close with the children and for me to be able to do this, I told them I have an infection in my throat and upon doctors advise, I should be able to cure theirs now otherwise when they grow, they will have problems…” ., he said.
Nii Odartey Lamptey who is not prepared to leave a trace of whatever he was doing for the ex-wife to know, said he visited the school of the three girls with a doctor who collected the samples for the analysis which result gave him the shock of his life.
DNA results revealed then 45-year-old never fathered any of his three children after 21-years of marriage in a chilling expose’ which marked a dramatic end to the relationship.
