The vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has reacted to reports and photos of a woman, Ramatu who is alleged to be his first wife.

Recall the minority in parliament caused a dramatic scene in parliament a few days ago when they chanted the name of the alleged first-wife, Ramatu of the second gentleman of the land.

However, the Vice President in a press statement signed by his Spokesperson, Dr. Gideon Boako, dated March 12, 2021 denied reports suggesting that he has a wife called Ramatu.

The statement also asked the public to ignore such reports because they are fabricated stories to tarnish the image and reputation of the vice president.

“The office of the Vice President wishes to inform the general public that the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has never met or seen this purported Ramatu, let alone take her as a wife”.
