Controversial musician, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus has described Akufo-Addo’s Senior High School (SHS) as no achievement.

A Plus who is a sympathizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has therefore asked party supporters to stop taunting free SHS as it’s no achievement.

In a social media post, the musician cum social commentator said, the NPP cannot compare itself to the National Democratic Congress(NDC) when it comes to developmental projects in the country citing the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange, the Kasoa flyover, the E-block all built by the erstwhile Mahama administration as an example

“When you NPP people say, even if NPP is not good it is better than the NDC, I do not understand you, in what way is the NPP better than the NDC….John Mahama eradicated traffic from the circle, he built Kasoa interchange…you people should have continued it to Winneba but you have done nothing, so when you say you are better than the NDC, what do you mean?, your dollar rate is no better than theirs, theirs was at 3.7%” he noted.

A Plus argued that, if paying the fees of people( which is the Free SHS policy) is the only thing the government can offer then they have no business being in power.

“If there is money available and I tell people to go to school the government will take care of it…..then you come and tell me its an achievement, John Mahama was building day schools across the country to prevent double track, he built Kejetia market and he deserves to be praised,” he said.

According to him, John Mahama did very well as a president but lost the 2016 elections because his team could not propagate his achievements well enough.
