Emmanuel Tagoe Suffers Injury, Fight Cancelled Till February 23rd

Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel Tagoe, a.k.a “Gameboy” won’t be able to fight Vyacheslav Gusev today, Saturday, January 26, 2019, due to injury.

Gameboy, as he’s affectionately called, will have to wait till he recovers fully from the injury before the IBF international lightweight title fight.

Originally, Emmanuel Tagoe and Vyacheslav Gusev bout were slated for Saturday, January 26 but it has been postponed after “Gameboy” suffered what is been reported as a fractured right wrist during training.

“Unfortunately, Emmanuel Tagoe sustained an injury causing the fight to be postponed, said Peter Kahn, Tagoe’s international advisor for Babyjet Promotions. “However, the fight has been rescheduled to February 23rd. The WBO Global and IBF international belts will still be on the line.”

The bout will happen on February 23, 2019, as the new date.
