EC extends timeline for declaring 2020 Presidential election results

The Electoral Commission (EC) has rescinded its decision to announce the 2020 Presidential election results at 5 PM today as previously planned.

The Electoral Commission affects the changes to ensure the collation of results at the Constituency and Regional Collation Centres across the country is accurate.

The EC has therefore extended its intended timeline for declaring the 2020 Presidential election results.

The new timeline will be communicated shortly.

As usual, the Commission reiterated that transparency, integrity, and fairness are the yardstick by which it conducted the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
