Breaking: Ghana receives first batch of 600,000 COVID-19 vaccines

The Ministry of Information has confirmed that Ghana is receiving its first batch of 600,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines today Wednesday 24 February 2021.

According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Information, the Health Minister-designate Kwaku Agyeman-Manu would lead a government delegation to receive the consignment.

A brief ceremony is taking place at the Kotoka International Airport now to receive the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines.

The statement is asking media houses interested in the coverage to pick the live feed from the two platforms, Ghana Television (GTV) and the Ministry of Information’s Facebook page.
