Top Ghanaian Gospel musician, Great Ampong has called for the amendment of Ghana’s Constitution to allow for some form of military rule in the country.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Kingdom FM, the ‘Akokofunu’ hitmaker is of the view that Ghana will be better of in a military rule than the current democratic practice.
The SDA Gospel singer cited corruption and the lackadaisical attitudes of Ghanaians as reasons he’s vouching for a military rule.

Great Ampong argued that the military regime of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings had helped Ghana as it brought sanity into the system.
He said;
We’re now slaves in our country – Kennedy Agyapong cries
“For a country that borrows money to produce songs to tell grown-up men and women not urinate indiscriminately and dump rubbish on the streets, it’s imperative that we introduce Military rule so that the attitudes of the people will be shaped.
Democracy was not meant for Ghana, we need to go back to Military rule by amending some portions of our constitution.”
