Akufo-Addo Will Lockdown Ghana After New Voters Register Exercise

Ghanaian Journalist, Kofi Adoma Nwanwani has revealed that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is likely to call for a second lockdown of the Country right after the compilation of the New Voters’ Register.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has begun the registration exercise for the compilation of the New Voters Register in all sixteen (16) regions of Ghana ahead of the December 7 polls.

Health experts and Civil society organizations (CSOs) have cautioned Akufo-Addo and the EC against the compilation of the new voters’ registration as it is likely to escalate the Coronavirus figures but the President wouldn’t listen.

However, according to Kofi Adoma Nwanwani, right after the EC is done with the voters’ registration exercise, Akufo-Addo will now call for a second lockdown of the country.

This explains as politically motivated to ban all political rallies which eventually will be to the disadvantage to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) because they will not be able to go on campaign train.
