The founder and general overseer of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has revealed his desire to own a private jet.
The maverick man of God who is known for such philanthropic acts as gifting cars, parcels of land and large sums of money to some Ghanaian celebrities, in an interview with Bola Ray on the Starr chat show revealed that he belongs to the kingdom of God and hence he ought to live a life that is befitting of the kingdom.
“I will not belong to a kingdom and live like a slave. I belong to the kingdom of God in which the best things are, what is Rose Royce? What are these cars? I want to have jets, helicopter, yatch…, and let any government dare to do anything”, the controversial preacher said.
According to the prophet, pastors should be the reference for good lives and not politicians.
When asked on the show how many cars in total he has given out thus far, he answered 269. Obaapa Christy, Yaw Sarpong and Daddy Lumba are some celebrity musicians who have been beneficiaries of such cars.
Prophet Badu Kobi received a lot of backlash from Ghanaians for his comments about Ashantis, Fantis and other Ghanaian tribes which were perceived to be disrespectful and unsavory. Despite loud calls for an apology from the Ghanaian populace, the Prophet remains unrepentant and seems unperturbed.
