Ghanaian international player Asamoah Gyan has revealed that at age 9 he prophesied he will become a footballer.

According to the Black Stars captain, he’s a prophet, saying at a tender age of 9 he prophesied his football career.

He said;

’When I was in primary school you know those days the teacher would come to the class and ask what everyone wants to be in future and people were saying they wanted to be doctors, presidents and lawyers and so on, but I knew what I wanted to be . I never mentioned the doctor or the president stuff and at that time people thought football was only for illiterates and people who were not good academically. But I was proud at that young age of 9 to mention that I wanted to be footballer’’.

Speaking to BestNewsGH.com, Baby Jet as he’s sometimes called revealed his mates and colleagues in school now refer to him as a prophet because they are aware of the time he started charting the path for his future in football.

‘’At that time when they see me then they tease me and call me footballer because they believed those who mentioned they wanted to be Doctors and Lawyers and presidents were those with vision. But today they see me and they are like ‘you said it ooo’.’’

Asamoah Gyan added that he was satisfied that he was living his dream the way he purposed it to be from the unset and that he has never regretted choosing football as a career.
