The chief of Apam, Nana Ekow Payne has given his own account of what might have led to the drowning of the children.
According to him, the children aged 14 to 17 might have done an abominable act that angered the gods of the river causing their drowning.
Nana Ekow Payne said empty bottles of Guinness and beer were found at the shores of the river and would be believed that the kids might have engaged in some sexual acts which according to him is wrong in the sight of the gods.
The children, whose number is still unknown have been pacified by the gods with libation retrieving 12 bodies with three alive.
However, there are still more bodies that are yet to be found by the police and local community.
