The president of Think Tank IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has jabbed the Electoral Commission(EC) for poor calculations after presidential results was declared by its chair, Jean Mensa.
His comments surfaced after the Electoral Commission(EC) accepted their flaw in miscalculation of the presidential results.
The Electoral Commission on the 9th of December made a statement which said Jean Mensah “inadvertently used 13,433,573 as the total valid votes cast.”
“The total valid votes cast is 13,119,460. This does not change the percentages stated for each candidate and the declaration made by the Chairperson,” a statement from the EC issued Thursday morning, December 10, 2020, said.
Jean Mensa made that statement after the National Democratic Congress(NDC) complained of flaws in the presidential results.
Franklin Cudjoe however saw the mistake of the EC an avoidable one and showed his disappointment.
Mistakes are bound to happen at any level of power and authourity- but some mistakes are avoidable especially when you are forewarned about your inability to do basic math. Sigh!

Who remembers the EC's procurement rigging of the tender that led to the purchase of the biometric machines? Remember when they told us that 85+13=103 instead of 98? Hmmm
