Ghana’s politics under the fourth (4th) Republic has been dominated by two (2) political parties; National Democratic Congress (4th) and the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
These two major political parties are the only parties that have been in power and out power from 1992 to date, June 11, 2020.
Today, the spotlight has been placed two young promising political personalities, one being a staunch NPP member and other strongly an NDC member.
And now, these young politicians are in the persons of the New Patriotic Party’s Sammy Awuku and Sammy Gyamfi of the National Democratic Congress.
Today, we will take a quick look at Sammy Awuku’s political profile and that of the NDC’s Sammy Gyamfi.
This will enable the good people of Ghana to decide who among the two have an outstanding record over the other.

1. Sammy Awuku:
Samuel Awuku was born on Tuesday, April 10, 1984, in Koforidua, in the Eastern Region. He is the only male child among four big sisters.
Samuel Awuku is a Ghanaian politician who served as Deputy Communications Director, National Youth Organiser, and currently the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Sammy Awuku began his basic education at Nana Kwaku Boateng Experimental School, secondary education at St. Augustine’s College in Cape Coast, and his tertiary education at the University of Ghana where he read Political Science and Psychology.

2. Sammy Gyamfi:
Samuel Gyamfi is the present National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) political party.
Sammy Gyamfi began his political career in his first year as a student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He was President of the Tertiary Education Network (TEIN) of the NDC at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from the year 2011 to 2012.
Sammy Gyamfi worked as a spokesperson for former Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu, and a member of the Ashanti Regional Communications Team of the NDC.
