Ghana’s award-winning broadcaster, Gifty Anti has pleaded with the good people of Ghana to protect themselves following the President’s decision to lift the partial Coronavirus-induced lockdown imposed on Accra and Kumasi.
It could be recalled that Gifty Anti has called for a total lockdown of the whole country as a measure against the further spread of COVID-19.
However, on Sunday, April 19, 2020, President Akufo-Addo announced that he has lifted the partial lockdown on Accra and Kumasi effective Monday, April 20, 2020.
On the back of that, Gifty Anti has shared her view concerning the decision via Facebook and advised that the ball is now in the court of Ghanaians to protect themselves against the diseases.
According to her, the politicization of the whole issue will not help in the fight against the virus rather Ghanaians should be cautious of their health and stop the spread of the COVID-19.
