Otumfuo Osei Tutu II when addressing a gathering said in the lead up to the declaration of the 2016 Presidential Election results he had to convince John Mahama to concede defeat.
The office of the former President John Mahama has refuted the statement made by the Asantehene. In a press release signed by Julius Debrah, he said Otumfuo didn’t convince Mahama to accept defeat.
Some NDC big guns including Dr. Omane Boamah has labeled Otumfuo a liar which he incurred the wrath of some Asantes.
