The Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey constituency, Dr. Zenator Agyemang-Rawlings has been saddened over last Monday night heavy downpour.
Dr. Zenator Rawlings is totally saddened, broken as the last few days devastating downpours have caused more damning havoc to humanity.
The rainfall has caused more and irreparable damages than good in her constituency as it had destroyed many lives and properties.
The medical doctor who doubled as a politician while touring and providing relief items within her electoral based communities shared heart-breaking photos of damages caused by the heavy downpour.
Dr. Zenator has therefore made a compassionate appeal in tackling the prevalence of floods each time it rained.
She posted;
“In the last few days, whilst touring communities within my constituency to assess the damage caused by the rains, and provide some relief items to affected constituents, I could not stop wondering how long we will allow this to prevail. We cannot continue paying lip-service to the flood situation. We must treat it as a national crisis and deploy the necessary resources towards providing a permanent solution – re-engineering of our drainage, de-silting of existing drains, the proper management of solid waste, adherence to building regulations, enforcement of our laws…government, individual and collective responsibility.
