Thokozani Dube, son of the late Reggae legend Lucky Dube has retorted in a recent interview that his father had never smoked Marijuana, not even a cigarette.
Whilst granting the interview to Rasmoral’s popular Reggae world program On KALEAWO FM in the Volta region of Ghana made a lot of startling revelations about his father, most of his comments caught the attention of the listeners who later basked in during the call- in the segment to express their surprise.
Thokozani who was an eye witness to the brutal shooting of his father stated that the life sentence to his father’s assassins was not enough justice since he and the world has lost a hero and a father forever however the Convicts still live to see their familIes, when asked whether he is a Rastafarian,TK replied “I can only be called a Rasta when smoking of marijuana and violence is disassociated with the Rastafarian culture” he also reiterated his Father (Lucky Dube ) never smoked marijuana nor even cigarettes, the singer agreed It is a herculean task to fit into his father’s shoes but will try to keep his music alive.
Thokozani is working on a new album and also intends visiting Ghana for a possible Lucky Dube festival. Thokozani has 7 siblings and remained the eldest son of Lucky Dube.
