My dream was to be a banker – Kumi Guitar cries bitterly

Nana Yaw Kumi, known in showbiz as Kumi Guitar broke down into tears when he sadly revealed how his banking dream was all shattered.

In an exclusive interview with Nana Kwame Gyan, host of “Highway” on an Accra-based Yonkopa 89.1 FM, monitored by Fnnewsroom.com, Kumi Guitar opened up on how his dream of becoming a Banker couldn’t actualized.

According to the “Betweener” singer, unknowingly to many, he was driving a Taxi, doing music and school all at the same time.

However, things became very tough for him that it got to a time he could no longer combine his driving career with schooling and doing music.

He said;

“… Kwame, I’ve wanted to become a Banker but a lot happened. I was a Taxi driver, doing music and schooling at the same time. I was so stressed that I just couldn’t combine the three activities.”

While in the banking institution, Kumi Guitar revealed that he failed three of his papers which compelled him to finally ‘drop-out’ of the institution.

“… I even failed three major papers in the banking institution so I had to quit.”
