Ghanaian Gospel singer and composer, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has disclosed in an interview that she is still single at age 48.

Speaking in a recent interview on Accra-based FM station, Rainbow Radio, the multiple award-winning singer said she will remain single while waiting for God’s right man and time.

The ‘Tetelesta’ hitmaker refutes claims that she is a lesbian like many think based on the fact that she is not married yet although she is in her late 40s.

She said in the interview that she is not in a hurry to marry but waiting upon the Lord to provide her with the right man at the right time.

“It is only God I depend on for direction. I prefer to worship the Lord, stay single and inherit the kingdom of God than marry and not go to heaven. A lot of Christians will not go to heaven because of marriage. It is preventing so many Christians from worshiping God,” she said.

When asked what she does when she has sexual urges, Diana Asamoah replied that she allows the Holy Spirit to take control.
