Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo has strongly said he won’t quit acting should he become a member of Parliament (MP).

In an interview on Kasapa Fm, John Dumelo who’s lacing his boot of becoming a Parliamentarian noted that he could still continue with his acting career.

According to him, he’ll not stop featuring in movies even if he’s being voted to represent the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon.

However, John Dumelo who is contesting the Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary seat on the ticket for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he will give up should he failed to win in his first attempt.

He cited late Professor John Evans Atta Mills and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as examples of great politicians who didn’t give up when they fail to win a couple of times.

“If you look at the Late Former President John Evans Atta Mills, he lost two times before he won finally. The current President, Akufo-Addo lost two times and won on the third time.

“The fact that you loose am election does not mean you should give up. You have to keep trying and learn from your mistakes and eventually, victory will be yours,” he said.

John Dumelo became an aspiring Parliamentary Candidate ahead of 2020 general elections on the ticket of National Democratic Congress after winning massively with 758 votes while his opponent, Madam Adoboe had 99 votes.
