Ghanaian musician and Influencer, Sister Derby has revealed she lost a lot of deals because of her tag as being controversial.
In an Interview with Naa Ashorkor on Asaase 99.5 FM monitored by GHFace.com, the musician narrated how she lost 2 big deals because of her controversial genre of music.
She recounted how she lost a deal with a phone company in 2012 after her ‘ Uncle Obama’ song because the directors claimed she was controversial with a song she sang about bananas.
Sister Derby also revealed she lost a deal with an international alcoholic drink brand because of the fact that she is controversial.
The musician said she was called by the company and later rejected in a board meeting after a Ghanaian lady opined that she was controversial and was therefore not suitable for the brand.
