Ghanaian musician, Bless Kwabena Boateng popularly known as Bless, has riposted in a recent interview that highlife songs are not meant to die in six months.
Highlife is a piece of indigenous Ghanaian music which has originated from Ghana and believed to be the oldest music genre in Ghana.
Speaking exclusively to NKG Nana Kwame Gyan on the “Highway” aired on an Accra-based Yonkopa 89.1 FM, the Chocho Mucho singer stated crystal clear that highlife songs are not meant to die or fade off in six months.
According to him, many musicians claim to be doing highlife yet their songs turn to die-off within six months after release.
He added that highlife songs are supposed to be timeless and not die in six months.
He said;
“… To calling their songs highlife and every six months, it’s dead and gone are not doing any good to the industry. Highlife isn’t meant to die in just six months.”
