Mother of Ghanaian singer Fantana has taken the lead in Jomoro constituency as Member of Parliament.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey, as she used in contesting in favor of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) came out with 24,356 votes as compared to her opponent MP Paul Essien who polled out 19,889 votes.
She beat the representative of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) with a difference of 4,467 and has taken the parliamentary seat in favor of the National Democratic Congress(NDC).
Fantana could not hide her excitement and took to Instagram to congratulate her mother on her victory.
She also assured the people of the Jomoro constituency that they were in good hands.
