Fans of rap have been going ballistic since the host of Open House Party on Joy FM, DJ Black, released his list of Top 50 rappers in Ghana.
Ever since this list came out, it has generated a lot of controversies with many artistes including Patapaa, Feli Nuna and Tinny openly disagreeing with DJ Black.
However, Ko-Jo Cue has come out to thank DJ Black and Hammer of the last two for making him part of their best 50 rappers in Ghana.
During a celebrity interview with award-winning radio broadcaster, Amansan Krakye of Radio Central fame in Cape Coast, Ko-Jo Cue said
“I’m very happy DJ Black and Hammer included my name in the list of 50 best rappers in Ghana. It shows that at least our works are gaining attention”.

When asked to provide his personal list of 5 best rappers in Ghana, he said
“For me, I don’t have a list of best rappers in Ghana. Anybody who comes out with a list is subjective and is that person’s opinion.
I don’t think there are any perfect criteria for selecting who’s the best rapper in Ghana”.
He went further to disagree with pundits who put legendary rappers in the same list with the new crop of rappers.
“I think it’s not right to compare the likes of Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour and Lord Kenya with some of us the new artistes in the music industry because we live in different generations.
So I will prefer a list with distinctive criteria that separate the legend rappers from the latter-day ones”.
