A Chinese company has secretly bought off the farmlands of poor farmers in the Abuenu located at the east of Abura Asebu kwamankese district in the Central Region.
Fnnewsonline.com is reliably informed that the Chinese company paid an undisclosed amount of money to a certain chief who claimed to be the owner of the farmland.
According to the source; the people of Abuenu woke up one morning only to find out that their farm lands have been marked with pillars.
Investigations carried out by the Chief of Abuenu has revealed that the farmlands have been sold out to a Chinese company.

Further investigations have revealed that a neighboring Chief secretly sold the lands to the said Chinese company.
Demonstrations have been carried out to express their displeasure and have also planned to forward the case to the law court.
The residents are also calling on Government to come to their aid.
