This was contained in President Akufo-Addo’s tribute to former President Jerry John Rawlings at the final funeral ceremony held yesterday, 27th January 2021 at the Black Square in Accra.

According to Akufo-Addo, this move was in the right direction because of the efforts made by the late Jerry Rawlings in championing the cause of higher education in the country.
