The management of Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF) is glad to announce to the general public that film submissions for the 4th edition of the annual international short film festival are open today.
The much-anticipated international short film festival has solidified its relevance after three successful editions and is now ready to open the door for all young and emerging filmmakers across the world to submit their short films to be part of the 4th edition of the festival in 2022.
Accra Indie Filmfest receives all genres of short films including animation, narrative, documentaries, digital stories, student films, and music videos. The duration of these short films should be between 3 minutes and 40 minutes. Submission is via Filmfreeway.
Accra Indie Filmfest is a not-for-profit organization established as a hub for emerging and independent filmmakers searching for their voices in storytelling. As part of the new phase of the Ghana film industry, there is the essential need to contribute to the solution by tackling the problem from the core foundation.
We are super proud to continuously stay in our core mandate of addressing some of the major challenges faced by young and independent filmmakers all around the world which is the lack of a conducive atmosphere for short film productions and exhibitions.
Our ability to successfully organize the festival for the past three years, with the 2nd and 3rd editions held in a time of a global pandemic and its economic related issues, has so far been one of our greatest strengths and a humbling learning experience. This offers us enough motivation to curate this year’s edition of the festival to meet the current global need for film experience.
