FN Network honors Korsi Senyo with Civil Rights Activist award

An Accra based Media and PR firm, FN Network, publishers of FNNewsonline.com has honored Korsi Senyo with Civil Rights Activist of the Year 2018 award at its second edition of FN Business Awards in Accra on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

The award was conferred on the young activist for his fight to bring reforms in the legal front of Ghana through his civil and legal actions against the General Legal Council, the body that regulates legal education and profession in Ghana.

From 2017, Korsi Senyo has initiated several actions against the GLC including filing five lawsuits at the Supreme Court against General Legal Council challenging among other things the composition of the council, legalities of some activities of the council and autonomy over the administration of legal education in Ghana.

He has also filed a petition at the Parliment of Ghana praying the lawmakers to defer any action on the news legal profession and education act brought before them by the General Legal Council citing the cases pending before the apex court.

He was the petitioner in the case of the two Deputy Chairpersons of the Electoral Commissioners, Ms. Goergina Opoku Amankwa and Mr. Amudu Sulley who have been impeached for incompetence and misconduct.

The 2nd edition of FN Business Awards took place yesterday December 15, 2018 at Westland Golf Suite Hotel in Accra. The award seeks to celebrate Ghanaians businesses and encourage young entrepreneurs.
