Former Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama has revealed that the 2020 general elections will be a make-or-break one for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to Mr Mahama, overwhelming majority of Ghanaians are calling on the NDC to return to save them from the hardship under the Nana Akufo-Addo led government.
The former president who was addressing delegates in the Shama Constituency on Wednesday, said the NDC will have to put its house order to wrestle power from the current government.

He noted that it has become very necessary to come back into power in order to lighten the burdens and hardships Ghanaians are experiencing under the NPP administration.
The former president also charged delegates, therefore, not to try any flagbearer aspirant but to go in for an experienced person come January 26, 2019, when the party goes to the polls.
The immediate past president said Ghanaians listened to the cry of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to try him in 2016 and the consequences have been devastating for all.
Addressing the NDC supporters in Fante, Mr Mahama stated that there cannot be any other result after the 2020 elections than an NDC win.

He admitted that results of the 2016 election appear to be God-sent for Ghanaians to see the incompetence of the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government.
He said so far nothing significant has been done by the government.
Mr Mahama promised to be a unifier after the NDC presidential primary and said he will give responsibilities in his campaign to all the losers should he win.
For him, the opponents of the NDC will be the New Patriotic party (NPP) and not NDC.
“I will give them responsibilities in the campaign so that they can participate.”
