“You are not correct. Shut up” – Arnold jabs OB Nartey in heated argument

Ghanaian entertainment journalist, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, brought down hell when he clashed with pastor and gospel singer, OB Nartey in a heated argument.

It all started in the studios of Peace 104.3 FM, where the two celebrity acts argued over the collaboration of secular musicians with gospel musicians.

OB Nartey, who was against the the idea argued that it is improper for a song to be labeled ‘gospel’ if it includes a secular musician because secular musicians  do not belong to the fraternity of gospel musicians even if the lyrics suggests so.

He further argued that no one can serve two masters, claiming that secular musicians are of the devil.

“Gospel music is about the song i.e. the lyrics, it’s about the personality and it’s about the spirit behind it. You cannot serve two masters, you cannot mix them up. I’m not saying we cannot be friends but when it comes to music, we are propagating a certain message and it must not be diluted with the brands and identities.” he argued.

Arnold Asamoah Baidoo on the other hand rebutted his statements making it clear that a lot of people have opined against the collaboration of gospel musicians with secular musicians but that does not give anybody the mandate to label them as demonic because of their fraternity of music.

“During OB’s submission, he said you can’t serve two masters. So I was scratching my head and asking who are these two masters? They are God and Satan so it means secular musicians are of Satan. That is nonsense. That is implicitly nonsense.” he retorted.

The entertainment journalist, labeled as the best entertainment analyst in the country argued that the gospel musician was short sighted since he did not delve into the song writing, producing and directing of these acclaimed gospel songs but only focused on the collaboration.

OB Nartey who found his opponent’s statement uncomfortable interrupted his statement, saying it is flawed and outmost nonsense.

The entertainment journalist who did not take the gospel musician’s statement lightly fumed and told him to shut up.

“I didn’t speak when you were speaking. You’re not correct. Shut up. Are you the one to tell me the terms of argument?”. You’re being stupidly loud. You shouldn’t have come here with your stupidity. Ghanaians are insulting you because you’re an ignoramus and unwise”, he fumed.

He however apologized to listeners for using such mean words on live radio.
