Ghanaian female artist, Sefadzi Amesu, popularly known in showbiz as Sefa has openly spoken about the problems female artistes face in the industry.
According to the fast rising artiste in an interview on Akoma FM, the ideology of making out with female musicians before giving them the necessary support is the reason why a lot of them are backing out though they are endowed with amazing talents.
Sefa opined that there are a lot of female artistes who do better than their male counterparts but the fear that has been instilled in them have prevented them from moving forward, offering the other gender more opportunities even with the fact that most of the females perform better.
” If we get more support and people who are willing to invest in us, we will go far. And also, when people are investing in us, it doesn’t necessarily have to be that they want to have their way with us and in my opinion, that is the main problem female artistes face in our industry”, she said.
