Veteran actor Kofi Laing known in showbiz as Kohwe as debunked rumours that he is broke and sick.
In a recent interview on Adom FM, it came out that the actor is broke and really needs help. Because of this ministry of Tourism and Creative Arts reached out to him and others are also doing donations to support the actor.
But in an exclusive interview on Saturday October 5, 2019 with Nana Yaw Santana on Testimony FM’s Rundown Show, Kohwe disclosed that his statement has been misconstrued.
According him, he was only advising Ghanaians to pay attention to legends when they are alive and not wait till they are dead. He also asked what the government or industry is doing to support the aged actors.
This means his intentions were not to beg for money for himself but his colleagues who are weak and aged. Unfortunately his statement was misconstrued and he is already getting help as a sick and broke person.
