Damen Priestley Dume, better known by his mononym Damen is a U.S.-based Cameroonian Singer/Songwriter and the Co-founder of Damrex Records. He has been in the music scene since 2010 primarily as a songwriter in the Afro-Pop and Afro-RnB genres
As a young music enthusiast from the city of Kumba, Damen’s teenage years were significantly inspired and influenced by the legendary Michael Jackson of whom he did impressions while representing his secondary school in musical competitions.
Damen attended the Bilingual Grammar School in Buea. In 2016 Damen Founded Damrex Records; the label he is currently affiliated to while pursuing his degree in Geological Sciences at Brown University in the United States.

Damen is currently working on his first major project under the Damrex Records banner. This versatile project which will contain a wide variety of music from Afro-Pop/RnB, Contemporary RnB to Dancehall and World genres will also include energetic collaborations with Cameroon and foreign artists in the likes of Ghana’s talented Ahkan as well as several others in Africa and the diaspora.
Damen who currently resides in the United States is scheduled to release this highly anticipated project in April marking the start of an amazing journey with Damrex Records.
Anticipate his first project featuring Ahkan.
